World History to 1492

The World History courses begin with the creation of the earth and the beginning of the human family with our first parents, Adam and Eve at 4000 B.C. and include most topics typically covered in a Western Civilization to 1500 history course. This  1-semester class covers our first five key dates, and is intended to be completed in 15 weeks. There will be about 6 to 12 lessons of about 30 minutes each for each of the key dates. Students should plan to cover 2 to 4 lessons per week.

The first 5 key dates covered in this course are:

4000 BC, 2344 BC, 2000 BC, 1500 BC, and 1000 BC

Our history courses are organized around 20 “key dates” which provide students with a chronological framework for the major events of world and U.S. history. The World History courses begin with the creation of the earth and the beginning of the human family with our first parents, Adam and Eve at 4000 B.C. and include most topics typically covered in a Western Civilization to 1500 history course. This  1-semester class covers our first five key dates, and is intended to be completed in 15 weeks. There will be about 6 to 12 lessons of about 30 minutes each for each of the key dates. Students should plan to cover 2 to 4 lessons per week.

Parents are encouraged to monitor the class and review the quizzes that reinforce the main concepts and knowledge of each lesson.  A Quiz Answers video will discuss each quiz question and explain the correct answer choices.
